Women's 12%Swimwear Block

Women's 12%Swimwear Block

$40.00Price

This is the Women's 12% negative ease swimwear block. It's the ultimate tool for creating your own adult women's swimwear patterns! It's had over 30 years of maturing by swimwear makers and 3D computer modelling ... there is no more complete block for making swimwear anywhere!

It has been designed specifically for swimwear with an emphasis on stability and shaping to fit a wide envelope of different body types.

This block contains several options:

  • Undarted: suitable for up to a B Cup
  • Darted for A, B, C, D, E, F and G cups (but slightly compressing above and below the bust)
  • Pelvic Tilt from 15 degrees anterior to 10 degrees posterior
  • Top options include several depths of vee necklines, tank necklines and armoles, and their corresponding backs all which can be mixed and matched to help you design your own neck and armholes, all in each cup size.
  • Bottom options include five leg line options, two thong options and five biniki band height options (again these are just helpful guides, bit it really is up to you to design your own style).

When you need to further change the overall vertical length you do so at the waist if it's a small amount (less than 4cm),  by checking the difference between the block's nape to waist and waist to hips against those measurements on the body. Any more than 4cm and you would be advised to distribute that extra length across several places on the vertical.

There is indirect vertical negative ease included ... while that's difficult to explain it basically means I've further reduced  measurements at angles (to better balance tension) which result in a vertical shortening.

  • This base block/sloper set contains 18 individual sizes in 2cm increments, to suit  ...

    • Under Bust: 66-100cm
    • Waist: 60-94cm
    • Hips: 85-121.3cm

There is a size table included on every page of the pattern and in the images above. The block is also presented in modular form so it's easier to blend across different sizes.
