Pattern School Collection Part 13 - Cheeky Bikini Bottoms
This collection was based on the free Zahra Bikini Bottom pattern in our Facebook group. The Zahra was a test project to see how building in pre-shear to the back gusset of a centre back seam would help towwards reducing/eliminating hungry butt in bikini bottoms with a narrow seat width. The project was successful and the Zahra became the most stable narrow seat bikini bottom ever! But altering it became an issue as the amount of pre-shear we needed to add changed with each design ... so in this collection we made the most requested variations on the Zahra. Basically that means lower leg lines, higher leg lines, a tie string version, an even narrower seat, a cut out design and a scrunchy butt version ... altogether become what I now call the cheek butt collection. This collection stays stable in almost every situation we've tested including as pole wear!
These patterns DO NOT come with assembly instructions beyone the basic pattern notes on each style. We assume you have an understanding of reading patterns and sewing stretch ... that said they're a basic to intermediate level of sewing.
This collection is for my regular adult women's size range. It covers 85cm-121.3cm fullest hips. There is a comprehensive size table in the images above and on every pattern page. These sizes are presented as 18 individual size increments of 2cm each, nested in seperate layers for easy viewing and printing.
The bikini bottoms also come in 6 pelvic tilt options from 15 degrees anterior to 10 degrees posterior.
